Café Literario: “Lope de Vega in the Age of Chatbots. The Relevance of Classical Theatre in the 21st Century”

On Friday, May 15, Harry Rijnen’s Café Literario La Nava will host a new session at the Navalafuente Library focusing on the enduring relevance of classical theatre in the 21st century.

Under the title “Lope de Vega in the Age of chatbots”, Harry Rijnen will interview actor Pedro Almagro, whose extensive career has been closely linked to classical theatre, performing in productions such as “Fuenteovejuna”, “The Dog in the Manger”, “The Mayor of Zalamea” and “Numancia”.

During the interview and the Q&A, we will explore the enduring relevance of the great works of Spain’s Golden Age of theatre and the role of classical theatre in a world shaped by technological progress and new cultural customs and habits.
